RULES OF ENTRY

The Peterborough Art Prize Committee Inc. rules of exhibition are non-negotiable.

  1. There will be a maximum of ten (10) entries per person for the Open, Senior Student and all Photography sections and a maximum of five (5) entries per person for the Junior Student Section.
  2. Each exhibitor must complete and sign an entry form and must return that form along with entry fees by Monday 5 March 2012.
  3. An entry fee of $10 for the first entry and $5 for each addition entry will apply in the Open, Senior and all Photography Sections.
    An entry fee of $2 per exhibit will apply to Junior Art.
  4. The fees, cheque or money order, must be payable to the Peterborough Art Prize Committee Inc. The entry fee is non-refundable.
  5. All works in the Open, Senior Student and both Photography sections must be able to be hung for display. Either framed or mounted on board with wire attached.(Glass mounts are not acceptable in any section)
  6. Junior Student works are to be mounted only (not framed)
  7. No wet paintings will be accepted
  8. All entries are for sale. The Peterborough Art Prize Committee Inc. will take a commission of 25% on the sale of any exhibit.
  9. Paintings may be entered in mediums of oil, acrylic, watercolour, gouache, pencil, pen, ink, crayon and pastel. Other Mediums by arrangement.
    All forms of photography will be accepted with a minimum size of 200×250 (8×10) including frame Anything undersize will not be hung.
  10. All acceptable entries will be hung and may be removed if sold to an interstate or overseas buyer during the exhibition.
  11. The Peterborough Art Prize Committee Inc. reserves the right to with hold an exhibit from being exhibited.
  12. The greatest care will be taken in the handling of entries, however, any damage or loss of any entry howsoever or whenever occurring and whether in transit or display shall be the sole responsibility of the exhibitor.
  13. All entries must be clearly marked on the back with the exhibitors name, address, title and selling price. All artworks must be packed in suitable packaging and all packaging must have the exhibitors name clearly marked on the outside.
  14. The Peterborough Art Prize Committee Inc. reserves the right to have exhibits reproduced in any form in the media or internet in conjunction with the exhibition.
  15. The Peterborough Art Prize Committee Inc. is not registered for GST.
    Exhibitor payment for sold entries is the sale price less the 25% commission.
    The exhibitors are to price their entries to reflect their individual circumstances.
  16. Prize money and sales money will be paid to exhibitors within a reasonable time after the close of the exhibition.
  17. Delivery of entries from 19 March until 28 March 2012 on weekdays 9am to 2pm to Peterborough Regional Art Centre (Corner Main and Cotton Road) or by prior arrangement with Judith Kempen. Phone: (08) 8651 3229.

  18. Unsold entries may be collected form the Peterborough Town Hall on Monday 9 April from 4.00pm to 6.00pm or Tuesday 10 April from 9.00am to 12 noon.
    After this time all paintings will be moved to the Peterborough Regional Art Centre (cnr. Main Street & Cotton Road, Peterborough), and will be held there for collection. Works to be returned by bus or mail must be pre-paid. Works can be returned by Northern Kope C.O.D. Parcel Express.
