An entusiastic group of thirteen painters gathered for a day of painting on 6 July 2004 at Lake Hall in Kitchener Street.
This was the first meeting of the Peterborough Art Group, an informal get-together of people interested in developing their artistic skills.
Since that date the group has met every first Tuesday of the month and in August 2005 the group moved its meeting place to the Regional Art Centre where the monthly get-togethers are held.
New participants are always welcome. The group meets from 9.30am until 2pm of the first Tuesday of the month. The cost thereof is $2 for Friends of the Gallery or $5 for visitors per meeting and bring some lunch to share. Also bring art to work on. Beginners are welcome and those more experienced participants are always there to lend a hand or give some advice
